Understand GCSE English FACE TO FACE TALK FOR PARENTS

As a former head of English and a GCSE examiner, I have extensive experience understanding how to teach for success and get results at GCSE level. I frequently work with parents, so they too can have a stronger understanding of how best to support their child.

Many parents fail to support their child at GCSE level as they are unable to comprehend what they can do to help. This talk is specifically designed for parents; I will introduce you to the GCSE English language and literature course (with a focus on the AQA exam board). By the end of the talk, you will have insight into course content, exam structure and how you can better support your child.

I will go through the entire GCSE English language course, show you exam style questions, and offer you resources and a range of suggestions for how you can best support your child. I will also touch upon and discuss elements of the GCSE English literature course.

You will leave the course with resources, ideas and lots of practical strategies. The PPT I use will be emailed out by the end of the evening too.

At the end of the talk, there will also be a chance for questions and answers.
